Disney has released the new Halloween merchandise that is available at Disney Theme Parks. A team of product developers, artists and planners spent more than a year crafting designing the items. The theme this year comes from an icon that many guests marvel at when they arrive at Disney World for the fall.

“Mickey Mouse-shaped pumpkins are found everywhere during the Halloween season at Disney Parks including merchandise,“ explained Dan Howard, Senior Creative Director with Disney Creative Group. “This Disney icon, mixed with playful character artwork, is an excellent foundation for this year’s collection as it’s something guests will remember from their visit.”

The new items include apparel, home décor, necklaces and headwear that illuminate at night, light-up trick-or-treat bucket and ceramic candle votives.

The graphic artists included Halloween colors – purple, orange, black and gray – which can be seen on many products decorated with Disney characters in colorful costumes. Mickey, dressed as a vampire, and Minnie Mouse, dressed as a witch, can be found as sparkling sculpted ornaments, featured on a countdown-to-Halloween clock or displayed on canvas-wrapped artwork.

“Products with playful messaging are a popular trend in the marketplace,” explained Summer Bloomfield, Merchandise Strategy Manager, who worked with product developers to design this Halloween collection.

Apparel can be found with playful sayings including “I vant candy” or “I’m just here for the candy.” Don't forget your orange and black sequined headband or Haunted Mansion ears!
