Updated March 27, 2020: Disney has just released a statement extending the closure of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida & Disneyland Resort in California until further notice due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Disney is following the direction provided by health experts and government officials and will continue to pay their cast members through April 18.
All locations at Disney Springs are temporarily closed until further notice.
In line with state and federal guidance, Disney has decided to close all Disney stores in North America, all Disney owned locations at Downtown Disney and Disney Springs and all Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort. As you know Disney has already shut down all of their theme parks around the World, including Disneyland resort and Walt Disney World resort.
Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World and Disney's Vero Beach Resort will close at 5 PM on Friday, March 20. Guests need to make arrangements before this time to adjust reservations or to return home.
All Disney transportation will be suspended beginning the morning of Wednesday, March 18 through the end of the month.
Disney will be closing all of its owned and operated locations at Downtown Disney in California and Disney Springs in Orlando beginning March 17. Individual tenants at both entertainment districts will make their own decisions on whether to adjust operations.
All of the Disney stores in North America will be closed beginning March 17 but you can still shop online at shopDisney.com.
Disney will continue to monitor the situation and follow the state and federal guidance as needed.
