Disney has just released a statement extending the closure of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida & Disneyland Resort in California until further notice due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Disney is following the direction provided by health experts and government officials and will continue to pay their cast members through April 18.
Resorts:
All Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World Resort are temporarily closed until further notice. Disney's Vero Beach Resort and Disney's Hilton head Island resort are also temporarily closed until further notice.
All Disney transportation is temporarily unavailable until further notice.
All Disney imposed change and cancellation fees will be waived up to the date of check-in through June 30, 2020. If no action is taken before your check-in date for arrivals during the closure period, Disney will automatically cancel reservations within 7 days of the original check in date and process any refund due to the original form of payment.
Dining:
All pre-paid dining and experience reservations between March 16 through the closure period will be automatically refunded. Cancellation or no-show fees will not be charged for dining reservations made at locations impacted by the closure.
All active Tables in Wonderland members will be extended by the number of days the parks are closed.
Other Experiences:
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and miniature golf locations at Walt Disney World Resort are closed from until further notice.
Disney Springs:
All locations at Disney Springs are temporarily closed until further notice.
Disney previously released a statement that Walt Disney World Resort will be closed beginning at the close of business on Sunday, March 15 through the rest of the month of March.
Disney owned and operated hotels at Walt Disney World and Disney's Vero Beach Resort closed at 5 PM on Friday, March 20.
