Face Covering Requirements Change Again at Walt Disney World - Optional for Fully Vaccinated Guests

Face Covering Requirements Change Again at Walt Disney World - Optional for Fully Vaccinated Guests

The face covering requirements have once again changed at Walt Disney World and Disneyland resorts. Beginning on February 17, 2022 face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated guests in both outdoor and indoor locations.

Face coverings are still required by all guests ages 2 and up to be worn on all enclosed Disney transportation including Disney buses, monorails and the Disney Skyliner.

Disney expects guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters.

The face covering changes do not take effect until February 17, 2022 so until then all guests ages 2 and up are required to wear a mask in all indoor locations regardless of vaccination status.

This face covering change is the second time that Walt Disney World has relaxed their requirements. On June 15, 2022 the same changes were implemented but Disney reverted back to requiring face coverings when the Omicron variant was prevalent in the United States.
