The Edison, Maria & Enzo's, Enzo's Hideaway & Pizza Ponte are expected to open within the next month and today we learn their story in relation to Disney Springs
The Edison, an industrial Gothic-style destination for fine food, handcrafted cocktails and exciting nightlife is destined to become the hotspot for Central Florida nightlife. The building, as the story is tol was originally served as the power plant for the growing town of Disney Springs. The theme will be carried through with the Boiler Bar and its electrical display panel, and the adjacent boilers. The décor includes murals depicting the story and even a working clock tower
By day, The Edison will welcome families with an amazing lunch and early evening menu. As day turns into night, 10 p.m., The Edison transforms into an adults only schene with a one-of-a-kind beverage menu and entertainment unlike you've ever seen. Rumor is that aerialists may be part of the entertainment.
Right next to The Edison is a trifecta of Italian venues, located in what we have learned was once the Disney Springs Air Terminal, that welcomed guests from around the globe but as travelers found more modern flying alternatives the building was sold and purchased by an Italian immigrant couple, named Mario & Enzo.
Maria & Enzo’s features vaulted ceilings, and a mural showing the destinations once serviced by the terminal. Pizza Ponte tempts guests with Sicilian-style pizza by the slice, made-to-order sandwiches and handmade Italian pastries. Hidden only steps away, Enzo’s Hideaway offers a glimpse into another lounge – this one, a secret space that first served as a bootlegger’s hideout. Who else can't wait to try every venue?
