As we shared earlier this year, Disney Parks will be updating the story of the Jungle Cruise at both Disneyland park at Disneyland Resort and Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort. Now we are learning more about the new changes coming to the classic attraction.
The attraction will receive several new scenes along the river and the world-famous skippers will continue to share the adventure and even adding more to their legendary humor. One of the scenes includes a trapped safari party that finds itself up a tree after their journey goes awry.
The attraction’s backstory will also be expanded. The backstory is centered around Alberta Falls, granddaughter of world-renowned Dr. Albert Falls, as the proprietor of the Jungle Navigation Company Ltd. Although you may recognize her name, Disney just "recently uncovered a copy of an interview with Alberta Falls that was featured in a 1938 issue of The Daily Gnus about her and the World-Famous Jungle Cruise."
More details about the reimagining of the attraction will be released soon!
