This year is going to be an epic one for Disney fans to visit the Disney Parks! There are a couple of new rules at Disney Parks that you need to know before you go including stroller restrictions and a ban on smoking, wagons, and loose ice.
As always, take a moment to look at the rules for each destination, which are easily available on DisneyWorld.com/Rules and Disneyland.com/Rules. If you read the rules you can see that Disney is implementing some changes that took place May 1, including the removal of smoking areas within parks and the adjustment of park policies related to stroller size, stroller wagons and loose ice.
STROLLERS Families with little ones know strollers are an important necessity for your visit. Beginning May 1, Disney is adjusting the guidelines on stroller sizes:
No larger than 31″ (79cm) wide and 52″ (132cm) long.
Stroller wagons will also no longer be permitted
The good news – many strollers on the market, including many double jogging strollers, fit within these size guidelines.
SMOKING Smoking areas will no longer be available inside Walt Disney World or Disneyland theme parks, water parks, ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex or Downtown Disney District in California.
Designated smoking areas will be available outside the entrances of the areas listed above and at Disney Springs in Florida.
LOOSE ICE Many guests bring a cooler or cooler bag to store snacks and drinks for theme park or water park adventures, but you can no longer bring loose or dry ice into the parks.
TIP: Use reusable ice packs instead.
