The all-new “Magic Happens” parade will make its debut at Disneyland park on February 28, 2020. As we previously shared from the D23 Expo, “Magic Happens” will be a new parade led by Mickey Mouse and his friends and will feature floats, beautiful costumes, and beloved Disney characters including Moana, Coco and Sleeping Beauty!
The new parade will celebrate the magical moments that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. “Magic Happens” will also feature a lively musical score and a new song, co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall.
Some of the highlights of the parade include:
From Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen 2,” Anna and Elsa explore the mysteries of an enchanted forest protected by Nokk, the mystical water spirit, and don't worry, their friends Kristoff, Sven and Olaf will tag along.
Moana travels on her voyager wa‘a and travels on the crest of a beautiful wave, inspired by koa wood carvings with LED panels, all to show the magic the ocean holds. Maui will join Moana and will be making his Disneyland Resort debut on his own magical island, along with Moana’s adorable pet pig, Pua.
When Miguel strums the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz, the spectacular float bridges the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead with vibrant marigolds. Inspired by the Disney and Pixar film “Coco”spirit animals join the parade, along with Miguel’s dog Danté.
The grand finale of “Magic Happens” will celebrate all of the magical moments from several classic Disney stories, “Sleeping Beauty” including a trio of fairies and Princess Aurora’s shimmering gown.
