Monrail Service to Disney's Polynesian Resort Temporarily Suspended Beginning Early October 2020

With the announcement of the upcoming refurbishment work at the Great Ceremonial House at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, the monorail service for the resort will be temporarily suspended beginning in early October 2020.


The reopening of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will be pushed back to the summer of 2021 for refurbishments to the resort during the closure period.


Remaining transportation options include:

  • Bus transportation is available from this Disney Resort hotel to EPCOT, Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the Disney Springs area; bus transportation will be available to Magic Kingdom park beginning in early October 2020

  • The walkway to the Transportation and Ticket Center will remain open, where Guests may access the monorail and ferry boats to Magic Kingdom park

  • Monorail is not available for EPCOT

  • Water taxis are not available from the resort to Magic Kingdom park
