Walt Disney World has announced that the reopening of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will be pushed back to the summer of 2021! Disney says it will make refurbishments to the resort during the closure period.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, refurbishments will begin on the resort's Great Ceremonial House and the guest rooms. The changes to the rooms will include a Pacific Ocean-inspire color palette as well as details, patterns, and textures form Disney's Moana film.
The Disney Vacation Club units including the bungalows and villas will remain open.
