During the Disney earnings call this afternoon, Disney CEO Bob Chapek talked about increasing guest capacity at their theme parks.
Following the release of the new CDC guidelines Chapek spoke about the capacity limits at Disney Parks, "You're going to see an immediate increase in the number of folks that we're able to admit into our parks, through our reservation systems that we recently implemented. We're very very excited about that."
Chapek then spoke with CNBC and confirmed that the new mask guidelines released by the CDC will show an increase in attendance, "I think in relatively, short order you're going to see our attendance go up significantly."
The new CDC guidelines can only mean good things for Disney as they can now relax the six foot social distancing rule to three feet and increase guest capacity. Although Disney has not formally changed their mandatory mask policy, today could hint to changes coming very soon!
