Walt Disney World Helps Light Up Give Kids The World Village and Why You Should Visit!

Who doesn't love Christmas lights and giving back to families and neighbors in their local communities? Well now you can do both at the same time! The Night of A Million Lights event at the Village can be enjoyed by local families and visitors alike throughout the 54-night event, which runs from November 13 through January 3, 2021. You can stroll the Avenue of Angles, savor delicious treats, enjoy the accessible rides and attractions, and Santa will even make an appearance!

Give Kids The World Village is an 84-acre non-profit resort that grants wishes and no-cost stays to children and their families who are battling critical illness and want to experience a Central Florida vacation.

Walt Disney World Resort has been a huge part of helping grant wishes and has supported Give Kids The World for nearly 35 years! Many Disney Cast Members volunteer at The Village and recently Disney had the opportunity to show their support once again for this special place when they donated over 3 million holiday lights for the new fully immersive, walk-through holiday light spectacular!

Walt Disney World also sponsored their own villa which will feature garlands, bright bows, and some décor from classic Disney stories.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, Give Kids The World has not been able to grant wishes and almost 4000 wishes have been postponed this year. But starting tonight, November 13, you can help the charity grant future wishes by enjoying the holiday light spectacular!

Admission for guests of all ages includes complimentary ice cream and hot chocolate and unlimited access to the rides and attractions. Additional food and beverages and special edition holiday merchandise is also available for purchase. Don't forget to purchase your 3D glasses that will bring the festive holiday lights to life!

Night of a Million Lights will take place daily from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Precautions have been made to promote social distancing including assigned arrival times which will be staggered, limited capacity, attraction capacity, and displays that have been designed to promote the traffic flow of foot traffic. Masks are also required for all guests and all guests, volunteers and staff will have their temperature taken upon arrival.

Proceeds from the event will support Give Kids The World’s mission to provide wish vacations for critically ill children and their families. Give Kids The World fulfills the wishes they receive by providing each child and his/her family with a magical week-long stay at absolutely no cost including transportation, accommodations in one of the Village’s 166 storybook residential villas, all meals and snacks, nightly entertainment, tickets to Orlando’s theme parks and attractions, and interactive experiences at the Village. Since 1986, Give Kids The World has welcomed more than 176,000 families from all 50 states and more than 76 countries.

So go spread some holiday cheer while also enjoying a wonderful light spectacular. You can purchase tickets here and if you would like more information you can visit the Night of a Million Lights webpage here.

Give Kids The World Village is located at 210 S. Bass Rd., Kissimmee, FL 34746.
