Some wild new treats have been discovered while going on a safari at Animal Kingdom including new build-your-own bowl options at Satu'li Canteen, new sweet treats, and new menu items at Harambe Market, Tiffins, Dinoland, & Pizzafari!
Satu'li Canteen Adds New Build-Your-Own Bowl Options
Satu’li Canteen (my favorite quick service on Disney property!) in Pandora – The World of Avatar recently added new Build-Your-Own-Bowl options. A new Combination Bowl with grilled beef and chicken join the protein menu and it can be paired with two new base selections: a Rice and Beans base and a Hearty Salad base.
New Sweet Treats at Animal Kingdom
A new “Up!”-Inspired Cake Push Pop has arrived! I love the UP! movie and really wish it was found more within the parks so I am so excited when I see a new item inspired by the movie! The new cake push pop can be found at the Warung Outpost and has layers of chocolate cake, green and blue buttercream, and balloons of crispy white chocolate.
On Discovery Island, make your way to Flame Tree Barbecue to try the Banana Maple Cake. This vanilla chiffon cake has banana maple mousse and is topped with a white chocolate glaze and crunchy meringue.
Donald’s Dino-Bash! Cupcake can be found at Dino Diner in DinoLand U.S.A. This vanilla cupcake is filled with lemon-flavored white chocolate mousse and topped with delicious buttercream, crispy pearls, and a red fondant bow just like your favorite duck, Donald!
New Lunch Menu Arrives at Tiffins
You can find a new lunch menu at Tiffins Restaurant. The new two-course lunch menu gives you two choices: (1) your choice of appetizer and an entrée (2) an entrée and dessert. Appetizers include Apple Walnut Salad or Spiced Chickpea Falafel and entree selections include Wagyu Beef Tagine, Paella, and Roasted Chicken Breast. For dessert, you don't have to choose, you get a dessert duo with South American Chocolate Ganache and Guava Mousse. The new lunch menu will be served from 11 am to 3:30 pm daily and is $35 per person (plus tax and gratuities) and shockingly counts as 2 table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan! Unfortunately, I think there are better uses of your 2 table credits such as Yachtsman Steakhouse or California Grill!
Harambe Market Adds Tasty New Dishes to the Menu
Harambe Market has also added some new dishes to their menu including the Pork Sausage with curried onion relish served on naan bread with black-eyed pea salad. There’s also a new vegetarian dish which has roasted vegetables with cauliflower, sweet potato, and chickpeas served over steamed rice with yogurt raita. And for dessert, try the Safari Cake which looks similar to another fan favorite - zebra domes! The Safari Cake is a coconut cake with pineapple-coconut mousse and coated in chocolate.
Dinoland Serves Up Some New Savory Dishes
Dino Diner has added an Italian Sausage Hoagie to the menu with Italian sausage, sautéed onion, and sautéed peppers and served with crunchy potato chips. At Restaurantosaurus you can find three new items. The first is a new Grilled Chicken Salad with Summer Berries, the second is a Fried Shrimp platter served with French Fries and you can combo that with chicken for the last option, a combo platter of Shrimp & Chicken served with French Fries.
Pizzafari - New Menu Items
The classic round pizzas are finally back and they can be paired with a Caesar Salad with or without chicken. Enjoy a Cheese, Pepperoni, Vegetable, or Sausage & Pepperoni freshly baked pizza from the menu. The fan-favorite Shrimp Flatbread with roasted shrimp, tomato, red pepper, Alfredo sauce and pesto and topped with greens will still remain on the menu.
Also on the menu is a basket of fresh-baked Garlic Knots topped with cheese and served with marinara sauce. Now my favorite item on the menu, the Cannoli Cake! A slice of chocolate cake with chocolate chip cannoli filling topped with chocolate ganache and a mini cannoli filled with sweet ricotta cheese and chocolate chips sits on top (okay you can stop drooling now!)
Pizzafari - Family Dining Experience
Pizzafari, a quick-service restaurant that focuses on freshly baked pizzas and Italian-inspired meals is now offering a "family-style" dining experience. Starting July 31, you will be able to choose between the classic quick-service experience or the brand-new "Pizzafari Family-Style" Dining Experience.

The appetizers included with the experience will be a Caprese Salad and a Caesar Salad and the entrees include pasta, chicken and pizza dishes.
