World of Frozen Opens at Hong Kong Disneyland

The royal gates have opened to the Frozen-themed land on Nov. 20, at Hong Kong Disneyland.

At the opening ceremony, special guests included: Bob Iger, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, Josh D’Amaro, Chairman, Disney Experiences, Michael Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, Alan Bergman, Co-Chairman, Disney Entertainment, and Jennifer Lee, Chief Creative Officer of Walt Disney Animation Studios and Oscar-winning writer/director of “Frozen” and “Frozen 2.”

Bob shared, “The Frozen franchise is one of the most successful in Disney history and it’s a testament to the power of great storytelling, which is the foundation of The Walt Disney Company. It’s been this way for 100 years, and our commitment to storytelling and creativity will continue to define our next 100.”

The land has two attractions, Frozen Ever After and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, dining, shopping, and a theatrical experience with Anna and Elsa. Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs is a family-friendly coaster, exclusive to Hong Kong Disneyland. Frozen Ever After is home to an enchanting boat ride that is perfect for the whole family! The attraction is similar to the one in EPCOT as you travel through the North Mountain and see Elsa’s Ice Palace, Troll Valley, and more.
